#liveinprAna: Salute the Sun

It's Saturday, or in other words: #sunsalutesaturday! So today's prompt from prAna and Fit Approach is a favorite of mine for two reasons:

1. I love vinyasa-style yoga, of which sun salutations are an integral part. (Check out the pictures below to see what the hell a sun salutation is!)

2. I LOVE the sunshine! Funny, I know, since I moved to the Pacific Northwest. There's something so yummy about letting the sun soak into your skin, even your bones, warming you from the inside out. I'm an active person, working out in fair or poor weather, and there's definitely something to be said for getting stuck out in the rain on a run or hike. Also, the colors here are insanely gorgeous when it's cloudy out too; the green just pops! But when it's sunny, it just simply makes me happy! It's hard to be sad/stressed/upset/unmotivated/lazy when it's bright and sunny out. It makes me want to get out to play or even sit out with a glass of iced tea and a good book.




I'm off to go hike! And probably (well, it's me, so definitely) do some yoga on the trail in the sun!
